Spring in the Alentejo is a wonderful time. There is new life everywhere. In the fields beside the road you will see lambs, piglets and calves interspersed with the most beautiful wild flower arrangements. If you look up at the telegraph poles and you will see the storks nesting too! People from Lisbon drive down to the region to behold this special time of the year.
